The shifting of sands in research funding: what researchers need to know about current trends and their implications for winning grants

This presentation will reflect on research funding trends, point out the changes in the approach of Horizon Europe collaborative projects and invite a discussion on what support services should be provided to improve success rates.

The presenter is Monica Schofield, CEng FIET Head of the EU Office at Tutech. Since 1993, she has been an expert adviser in various capacities to the European Commission and others on matters relating to research and innovation policy, including as an evaluator of research proposals to the Framework Programme. Prior to joining Tutech in 1999, she held R&D managerial positions in industry.
