Topographic Study of a Direct UV Patterned Planar Waveguide with Negative Index Change
30th Australian Conference on Optical Fibre Technology (ACOFT), Sydney, Australia , pp. 293-295 (2005)

Abstract: In this work, we show topography change induced by direct UV writing of a planar waveguide. The latter is made of a germanium doped silica layer deposited by MDECR-PECVD and exhibiting a strong negative UV photosensitivity. The topography reveals three domains according to the writing laser power and velocity revealing three different interactions.
