The aim of this interactive format is to make scientifically grounded climate knowledge accessible, understandable, and engaging.
Using a card game featuring 42 facts drawn from the reports of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), participants worked together to explore the causes and impacts of human-induced climate change. Step by step, they built an increasingly comprehensive picture of the complex interconnections, guided by trained volunteer facilitators from Climate Fresk Germany.
Following this, participants collaboratively developed ideas and solutions for a climate-neutral TU Hamburg of the future. This part of the workshop was facilitated by students from the International Management and Engineering (IWI) program, who supported the workshop as part of their project seminar “Climate Strategies” at the Institute for Strategic & International Management.
The workshop thus provided not only an opportunity to deepen climate-related knowledge in teaching and research, but also a platform for discussing concrete actions and pathways toward greater sustainability at TU Hamburg.
