Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to invite you to a Climate Fresk workshop at TUHH on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The Climate Fresk is an interactive workshop that has already been experienced by more than 2.2 million people in companies, government institutions, and universities around the world. In just three hours, it provides participants with a clear understanding of how the climate crisis works and the complex relationships that drive it.

What to expect

Working in small groups, you will gradually piece together a set of cards, discuss cause-and-effect relationships, explore the impacts of climate change, and develop initial ideas about what these insights could mean for your own work environment. No prior knowledge is required—curiosity and a willingness to exchange ideas are all you need. The card set is based on the scientific findings of the IPCC reports.

Why we are inviting you

This workshop is part of a project seminar in the International Management and Engineering (IWI) program, in which students explore participatory climate engagement formats within organizations. They will accompany the workshop as part of their research, so by participating you will also contribute to teaching and research at TUHH.

At the same time, the workshop may generate valuable ideas for the university itself—from broader sustainability initiatives to practical opportunities for action within individual departments and areas of work.
