Several presentations by the IMS at the annual meeting of the ProcessNet specialist groups Computational Fluid Dynamic, Mixing Processes and Agglomeration and Bulk Solids Technology.

The programme of the annual meeting of the ProcessNet specialist groups Computational Fluid Dynamic, Mixing Processes and Agglomeration and Bulk Solids Technology 2022 includes three presentations by the IMS. The lectures deal with the mixing behaviour of stirred reactors, the following ability of different Lagrangian particles in the bioreactor flow and the simulation of Lagrangian particle trajectories in a 3 L stirred tank reactor.

Completion of the Heat and Mass Transfer module at a student symposium.

In the winter semester 21/22, about 60 students of the Master's programme in Process Engineering tried their hand at designing multiphase reactors as part of a problem-based learning project. They presented and discussed the results of their designs in a symposium at the beginning of March.

At this year's annual meeting of the ProcessNet specialist groups, there will again be a presentation by the IMS. Felix Kexel will present his research results on the topic of Fluid Dynamics of Taylor Bubbles in Organic Solvents on 22.02.22.

Article about Harburg's contribution to vaccine production published in the December issue of Buisness and People magazine.

The magazine article reports on the Institute's work on the efficient production of biotechnological/pharmaceutical products, such as the current vaccines for corona prevention. A small insight is given into how the scaling up from laboratory scale to production scale is done.
