Curriculum Vitae

Marija Boberg studied mathematics at the University of Paderborn between 2011 and 2017. She received her master's degree with her thesis on "Analyse von impliziten Lösern für Differential-Algebraische Gleichungssysteme unter Verwendung von Algorithmischem Differenzieren". Currently, she is a PhD student in the group of Tobias Knopp for Biomedical Imaging at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf and the Hamburg University of Technology.

Abstract: Magnetic particle imaging (MPI) uses orthogonal receive coils aligned with the drive-field coil directions for signal detection. In case of misaligned receive coils, the particle magnetization couples differently into the receive coils such that a re-calibration involving the measurement of a new system function would be necessary. In this work, we propose a method for decoupling the channels algorithmically into the drive-field coil directions using an MPI transfer function matrix. In that way, system functions for different receive coil units can be reused.
