This week, the #FST hosted this year’s annual meeting of the #LuFo 6.2 project #ULTIMATE (Ultra High-Efficient Wing and Moveables for Next-Generation Aircraft).
The project focuses on the design, testing, and validation of an ultra-efficient, low-drag wing for future short- and medium-range aircraft. Central elements include the development of a novel laminar wing with multifunctional control surfaces and extended capabilities. As part of ULTIMATE, the FST contributes by developing a single-flap actuation system for a Krueger flap on the wing’s leading edge.
