Congratulations to three of our former students who won the Hamburg Aviation Young Talent Award yesterday, recognizing their excellent work in their final thesis!
Lukas Thiesen won second place in the ππ’π€π©π¦ππ°π³'π΄ ππ©π¦π΄πͺπ΄ category. His thesis focused on integrating hydrogen tanks into the fuselage, with a special emphasis on safety aspects such as potential rotor bursts and crashworthiness.
Antonia MΓΌnchenbach won first place in the ππΆπ΄π΅π’πͺπ―π’π£ππ¦ ππ·πͺπ’π΅πͺπ°π― category. Her bachelor's thesis was about the routing of hydrogen pipes within the aircraft, considering interdependencies with other systems like hydraulic and electrical systems.
Kai Beschorner won second place in the ππ’π΄π΅π¦π³'π΄ ππ©π¦π΄πͺπ΄ category. He developed a preliminary method for designing and evaluating a hybrid power train for a gas turbine.
These awards serve as motivation for all students, demonstrating that your thesis work is highly valued and appreciated by the community.
