In Germany, we take safe and reliable water resources and supply for granted. But behind this is a high level of technical know-how, a tradition of continuous innovation and sustainable management. At the Institute we teach and conduct research into all these areas. Securing the quality of untreated water, water treatment and distribution, together with energy-related aspects of water supply, are key issues for us. In collaboration with our associates, the DVGW Research Centre at the Technical University Hamburg-Harburg (TUHH), we maintain laboratories and testing facilities on all these topics.
In this way, issues related to industry practice are dealt with directly at the university, and in turn water companies benefit from scientific and technological innovations. I cordially invite you to explore our areas of work, research projects, courses and lectures, and also get to know the staff involved, on the following pages. Have we piqued your interest? The team of the Institute B-11 and the DVGW research center TUHH is looking forward to fruitful discussions and potentially collaborating with you.
