Department of Process and Chemical Engineering

The Department of Process and Chemical Engineering acts as a central contact point for all matters of process engineering. The dean represents and manages the department together with the vice dean. They are supported by the executive and the staff of the deanery. The department is at your disposal concerning all issues of process engineering.

The Department of Process and Chemical Engineering is responsible for the german language degree courses 'Verfahrenstechnik' and 'Bioverfahrenstechnik', as well as the international master's program 'Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering'. In addition the department is closely involved in the degree courses  of Environmental Engineering and General Engineering Science. The active participation of the V-institutes in the three TUHH research centers Integrated Biotechnology and Process Engineering, Regeneration - Implants - Medical Technology and Climate Protecting Energy- and Environmental Engineering reflects their broad research activities. The biotechnological research enjoys a particularly high national and international reputation and acts as a strategic research area of the department.
