Engineering-specific work involves responsibility in many respects, firstly in the constructive sense of the reliability of results and secondly in the functional sense of their usability. Indispensable requirements are, for one, first-rate expertise and, for another, the ability to think critically and constructively in order to be able to assume societal and ecological responsibility. In this connection the TUHH relies inter alia on the core didactic concept of research-oriented learning and on problem- or project-oriented work in small teams. Impulses also come from Technical Education at the TUHH. Extra-curricular projects such as Blue Engineering or RUVIVAL with its focus on sustainable technology supplement the offering meaningfully.
