Problem- and Project-based Learning

Problem- und Projektbasiertes Lernen (PBL) is a focus of didactics at the TUHH, where classical versions of PBL at, among others, the universities of Maastricht and Aalborg are both taken up and adapted for the University’s own needs and boundary conditions. Center for Teaching and Learning (ZLL) staff support teachers at TUHH with the implementation of problem- and project-based learning environments. PBL promotes active student participation in and responsibility for the learning process, strengthen the connection between theory and practice in courses and facilitate understanding of complex contexts.
