The TUHH sees research and teaching as a unit and seeks from the outset to involve its students in research work in keeping with their level of competence. Forschendes Lernen (research-based learning) as a didactical concept is a very good way to support the learning process of students. With the promotion of a large number of teaching innovation projects and practical projects of the Forschendes Lernen qualification program (Center for Teaching and Learning), both individual courses and entire modules and study programs undergo further development by way of research-based teaching. The didactics of further education (Lifelong In-Service Learning – ContinuING@TUHH) also follows the concept of research-based learning.
