I3 Projects

Formal Requirements:

An I3 Project is an interdisciplinary project of typically two principal investigators from different fields. Two PhD students are funded for the duration of two years, together with a budget for travel and consumables. A maximum of ten projects will be awarded. Up to five I3 Projects will be awarded for internal TUHH cooperations. Up to five additional I3 Projects are reserved for cooperations with external scientific institutions and universities.

One of the objectives of the I3 Projects is the preparation of I3 Lab proposals or the application for third party funding. The scientific objective and possible further funding sources should therefore be included into the proposal.

All applications are to be submitted in English.

Those proposals are invited to orally present the proposal to the AsPF in the second half of September 2019. Based on the presentations, the AsPF suggests proposals for funding to the Executive Board of TUHH, who then makes the final decision. Funding starts on November 1, 2019 and closes on June 30, 2022.
