Graduate Academy for Technology and Innovation

The TUHH attaches great importance to the promotion of early-stage research and has established the Graduate Academy for Technology and Innovation as a central organizational unit of the university to promote it. The Academy bundles and coordinates existing cross-disciplinary offerings at the university, makes them visible for both junior scientists and their supervisors, and complements them with special formats to make up a comprehensive program that provides junior scientists at the TUHH with an ideal environment in which to pursue doctoral studies.

The central tasks and measures of the Graduate Academy include the organization of workshops and seminars to teach and extend key scientific and professional competences – so-called transferable skills – for individual career planning and to establish formats that serve to promote encounters and cross-disciplinary networking of graduates working toward a doctorate and of postdocs. At the same time the aim is to strengthen the exchange of information between structured programs and generate synergies.

The Graduate Academy’s offerings are available as a matter of principle for all young scientists at the TUHH irrespective of their membership of structured programs.
