Knowledge alliances serve to support collaboration between universities and businesses. Business and university representatives work together on structured projects with the aim of strengthening Europe’s innovation capacity. The projects are supposed to develop new approaches to teaching and learning, stimulate entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial skills in students and university staff and/or facilitate the exchange of knowledge between universities and businesses.
A knowledge alliance consortium must comprise a minimum of six organisations from three different programme countries, including at least two universities and two businesses.
The projects last two to three years.
