Especially for international students
If you are coming to Hamburg to study from abroad, there are things you must consider and deal with before entering the country.
- If you have been awarded a university place at the TUHH you must accept it before the deadline expires as it will otherwise be reallocated.
- Do you need assistance with finding a room in a dormitory or do you have questions about preparatory German language courses?
- Maybe you need to apply for a student visa.
Here is where to find useful information on these and other subjects:
Studieren in Deutschland - A practical guide for international students (DAAD brochure)
Living in Hamburg – Information about dormitory accommodation, the housing exchange of the TUHH’s Students’ Union (AStA) and the facilities offered by the TUHH’s Accommodation Office.
