Two-year Master of Science course
The Master Program in Water and Environmental Engineering conveys in-depth knowledge in selected areas of environment-related civil engineering. The program is structured on the “3 out of 5 plus 1” principle. Students have the opportunity to choose three out of the five consolidation blocks offered and to designate a course specialization. The following subject areas are offered as specializations:
- Urban water resources (water supply, sewage management)
- Urban environment management (waste management, energy recovery)
- Environmental and water resources management (hydrology, river catchments)
The specialization includes a major project report. In addition, an extensive range of compulsory elective subjects is available to students. They can thus specialize further and/or widen their breadth of training. The choice of special subjects and majors is based on personal interests and/or later career goals, for which recommendations are made. The fourth semester of the program is for preparing the Master’s thesis.
All admission modalities are laid down in the Satzung über das Studium (Statutes on Studying at the TUHH).
