Master's Program in Process Engineering
Exactly one year ago when I finished the undergraduate study in my country it was time to make a big decision about my future career. I personally believe that one should go beyond the limits to see that there are no limits. Having this idea in mind, I looked for a university which could enlarge my horizon. Of course there were many institutes in different countries offering graduate programs of my interest. Among all of these I decided to be a "Hamburger".
Today my knowledge about TUHH and Hamburg is no more built up from the pictures on the brochures. Throughout the time I experienced many things and now I can easily see: "I made the right decision".
TUHH gives me the feeling of satisfaction with its qualified education skills, well-equipped technical laboratories and many international research projects. Due to its good cooperation with industry I can define TUHH as a huge R&D center where I can apply my theoretical background in practical works. This atmosphere here allows me to improve my self-confidence and creativity.
Before coming here I was expecting to explore the German culture only. However, this international program made it also possible for me to meet people from all over the world. Now I have very close friends from 14 different countries and for me this is an experience worth of a world tour.

Before I applied to TUHH, I had an idea of what I wanted to do. My objective was to broaden my technical knowledge by studying at a university that enjoys a good reputation and later applying the professional achievements in my home country. Additionally, I wanted to have first-hand knowledge of how another culture approaches everyday life and an appreciation of the importance of international cooperation.
The attractive program of TUHH in combination with the NIT soft skills and management oriented program caught my attention.
Today, I can say that studying at TUHH was more than just learning figures and facts. Active involvement in research projects from an early stage, modern facilities and equipment, practical experience in industry and a good cooperation with professors and research assistants strengthen students' scientific curiosity. This experience was decisive for my professional plans and I decided to stay "on campus" and continue my research work towards a PhD.
Moreover, international atmosphere and openness of NIT and TUHH made studying more valuable, and beside the professional and educational achievements one gains a lot regarding social aspects. Studying in such a colourful environment gives you the opportunity to get to know other cultures and become a part of the group, but at the same time, invites you to express your own originality and uniqueness.
The concept of TUHH fits perfectly to its environment: the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg. It warmly expresses its hospitality and offers you rich cultural, sport and night life, so that you can more easily get used to the unpredictable "Hamburger weather".
All those factors make you broaden your intellectual horizons and deepen your knowledge and understanding of international, political, and economic issues. This "global" experience, reinforced with the German engineering education, opens the door for your successful international career.
