Bachelor and Master Theses

International Master's program

Master Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering

The challenges of modern biotechnology can only be met by a close collaboration of research from different disciplines. By applying modern technologies, biological systems can be exploited for the production of high-value products that are needed for medical, pharmaceutical, food and chemical industries. The MSc program in Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering at TUHH is a multidisciplinary program involving life sciences and engineering. The courses (project oriented and practical lectures) are taught in English.

The program focuses on specific areas of bioprocess engineering, reaction engineering, microbiology and molecular biology. It is organized as a two-year course (four semesters) which starts 1st of October each year. It includes lectures, 10 weeks of industrial training and a research project at the TUHH. The "Master of Science" degree will be awarded.

Bachelor Thesis (current topics)

  • Screening, characterization and production of biotechnologically relevant biocatalysts

Master/Diploma Theses (current topics)

  • Screening, characterization and production of biotechnologically relevant biocatalysts

Due to the current situation all student projects (Project work, Bachelor thesis or Master thesis) need to be performend according to the required strict safety and hygiene measures. Please contact Dr. Anna Krüger for further information.
