Dipl.-Ing. Raphael Elsner
In 2013 I received my Diploma Degree in Computational Science and Engineering from Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH). During my studies I did my internship at “DOK SYSTEME” an ICT consulting company from Hanover, which reinforced my interest in mobile networks. The tiltle of my Diploma thesis was “Radio Resource Management in LTE”.
Since 2013 I am working as a research assistant and pursuing my PhD at the Institute of Communication Networks (ComNets) of TUHH. I first started with a project on improved teaching and learning methods in Computer Science and developed an online laboratory using the “ToMaTo” testbed from the “G-Lab” project. My research topic is radio resource management in future Device-to-Device communication. This covers current approaches in LTE networks as well as future 5G networks.
