Abstract Format and Abstract Submission

Abstracts should be 1 page long and must include one illustrative figure outlining the quality of the results. Moreover, abstracts are expected to address the three major review criteria mentioned below. A comparison to reference solutions will be appreciated. An exemplary abstract can be found here.

A pdf-version of the abstract should be submitted until 12 February 2011 via email to 6th-spheric(at)tuhh.de. Authors are requested to assign their contribution to at least three workshop topics in their email.

Mind, that those authors, who would prefer to present their paper in a poster session should explicitly indicate this already in the email of their abstract.

Review Process

The quality of the abstracts will be assessed using averaged ratings for 3 equaly important categories, i.e. (1) novelty, (2) applicability & impact and (3) predictive accuracy & predictive improvements over the state of the art. The abstract will be reviewed by at least three experts. Notification of acceptance for publication will be given until 11 March 2011 via email.

After notification of accepted abstract, authors should prepare their full 8-page paper according to the template. It is important NOT to put any page number in the paper. It is also recommended not to spend too much space on standard SPH equations on the paper, since readers are assumed to already know basics of SPH. Respective templates can be downloaded for WORD or LaTeX documents.

At least one author is expected to register until 1st May 2011 for the workshop and present the paper. Papers with no registered authors will not be published (cf. Payment Section).

Papers should be submitted until 22 April 2011 in pdf-format via email to 6th-spheric(at)tuhh.de.

Student Price

A price will be devoted to the best student paper and its presentation. Student authors, who would like to sign up for the student price should indicate that with the submission of the paper.

Papers covering accepted poster contributions will be presented during a 4-minute presentation in the main theatre followed a presentation of the poster in the display area. The poster size should be A0 (1189 mm x 841 mm - 46.81 in x 33.11 in). Mind, that authors of poster contributions are also expected to submit a full 8-page-paper in line with the above mentioned paper templates and deadlines.

Posters will be printed by the organisors and should be submitted until 17 May 2011 in pdf-format via email to 6th-spheric(at)tuhh.de
